Each faculty member is dedicated to our philosophy, our school, and most of all dedicated to our students. At Great Lakes Academy we have experienced little to no teacher/staff turnover. The majority of our staff have been with us for five years or more. Our teachers & staff have shown year after year that they are committed to the children they teach. Our staff also understands that regardless of a school's setting, facilities, and programs, it is a human institution. The relationships between GLA teachers and students are essential to the overall success of each child. Great Lakes Academy also maintains small class sizes with no more than ten students per classroom, allowing for important one-on-one time.

Great Lakes Academy Faculty members are all subject to, and must meet, the following requirements:

• Hands-on Assignments
• Regular Staff Meeting Attendance
• In-Service Training
• Seminars

Each faculty member will foster the student's growth by:

• Teaching organizational skills
• Preparing a daily assignment book
• Field trips that relate to the curriculum
